Funimation Begins Streaming Prison School in English

Funimation Entertainment recently released the first episode of it’s English broadcast dub of the Prison School anime last week.

The popular anime series based on Akira Hiramoto’s original manga premiered it’s Japanese version on July 10th. Funimation has been streaming the series with English subtitles simultaiously as episodes are released in Japan. Now the first episode in English dub form has been released. Check the video below to check out a preview of the English version of the show.

Funimation describes the series as follows:

“Hachimitsu Academy, a prestigious, historically all-girls school, has finally become co-ed. Average teen, Kiyoshi, is one of five boys to enroll. What he doesn’t know is that the school is clandestinely ruled by an Underground Student Council of ruthless, cruel, totally hot female students! And when the boys get caught peeping, they’re sent to the school’s prison, which is run by the brutally seductive warden, who also happens to be the VP of the Underground Student Council. After the boys are forced endure manual labor, whips, and chains, they’ll be left wishing they were locked up with actual criminals!”

I would recommend this anime for adults who enjoy ecchi and comedy. The thing that separates this anime from so many other ecchi titles with suggestive material is it’s truly unique plot, interesting characters, hilarious animation, and great jokes. Seriously, there have been many scenes so far in this anime that have caused me to laugh out loud. I even find the animation itself can be pretty funny, especially the character’s expressions.
